Future Innoversity opened its doors in 2009 as a higher education academy that focuses on specialty management education, starting with retail and supply chain. The institute is sponsored by Future Learning, an offshoot of Future Group.

The current size of the Indian retail market is estimated at $28 bn and with the impending FDI in retail, it has, according to a CII report, the potential to grow to $260bn by 2020. This will create 3-4 million new jobs in retail, 4-6 million in logistics and supply chain, not to mention countless others in allied services like labour, security, housekeeping, etc.
